It's the same owner, with what seems to be a new franchise or new concept.  On the F2M facebook page, they referenced a new place and asked everyone to send in pictures of themselves fishing.  Today, they are directing people to the new Fish Tales FB page and have posted the menu, new hours, etc.  Menu looks very yummy.  It seems that there have been big changes and not everyone from F2M is returning for the new venture.

I'll give them a couple of weeks to work out the logistics and stuff, but I can't wait to try it. 4951

Here's a write-up on the changehttp://www.yourhoustonnews.com/kingwood/news/fish-tales-catfish-shrimp-opens-kingwood-location/article_37dc0c72-cf26-52d5-b865-adf52f971838.htmlWe really need a good catfish place here!  I'm looking forward to trying it.The only thing I don't like in that article is they mention they batter the fish.  I prefer just a light breading with cornmeal. 4951

@BooBear: LOL Of course I do ....roflmao...,,,I can save most my bottoms and most will be ,not even working on those till next year...I didn't have a choice on the top...due to my diabetes, exposure to the toxic sheetrock and the massive antibiotics I have had to be on due to 2 different hospital meningitis stays in 5 years my enamel is very very weak. So if I choose to save them I'm looking at about 500 a tooth to rebuild them and have crowns or remove them and get dentures, the price difference was about 10 grand and thats no guarantee they wouldn't just be bad again in 2 years due to the weak enamel so I chose top dentures to just be done with it all!!! But they are only taking 2-4 at a time, I will only be without all my top teeth for about 2 weeks before my new pretty ones come in....LOL But my extractions are tricky and very painful due to my slow healing and he is actually stitching some of them after he removes them and that leads to a very painful mouth...roflmao. The most dreaded appointment will be when he is removing the top front 6 all at once...aaauuuhhhggggggg....:-(This is coming from someone who doesn't do drugs, drinks hardly ever and brushed 3 times a day....:-( Sometimes you can do everything right and still get the bad end of the deal!!!!

Hopefully, they won't have a play area for children in this new concept. Some restaurants around the country and here in Houston are not allowing children any more. I read an article about a home design store in Atascocita does not allow children in the store any more. I have two children and they are in high school and college but when they were younger - they never let out blood curdling screams when they were in public. Not like the generation of babies and toddlers today and the parents totally ignoring it. 4951

It's not just the generation of today's kids.  They had to learn it somewhere.  I will agree that many parents of young children are more interested in being their child's friend instead of their parent. My kids weren't saints, but they learned that their actions resulted in consequences.   If they got bad enough, I took them for a walk outside. Usually, a talk was all it took, but a butt-whipping was applied when needed. There were some couples that we went to supper with and their kids were horrible. If they didn't get their kids under control, we wouldn't go out with them unless it was just the adults. 4951

We stopped by there tonight and picked up a menu. Looks yummy; also have blackened and grilled in addition to fried. They also sell beer and wine. Will definitely be eating out there some. On the other note, I totally agree that the present generation of couples with young children need to leave them at home until they have been taught proper manners. 4951

Why is the fish place still around and still being talked on KDC?  Hasn't it changed owners like 4 times in 4 years.  And hasn't it been on some bad restaurant list too. (Mardigrasman?) The food is just okay, especially considering the amount you get for what you pay.  I ate there 2 times during the first 2 years.  Decided it wasn't worth another try.  Very average at best.  Not that I want a local business to fail, I just don't get why this one is still around.JMO 4951

@Francita: first, this is FISH TALES not the fish place...two totally different entities alltogether...this is located on Kingwood dr not Northpark where the fish place is located...these folks have nothing to do with the fish place folks...  so please give them a try and see what it is all about...the only other brick & mortar fish tales is in Cleveland..for the record...

@mardigrasman: ahh, thank you for clearing that up.  The title said catfish place, I assumed the one on Northpark.  My mistake...carry on.
