Farm To Market on Kingwood Drive will become Fish Tales & Opening Tuesday September 3rd! It will offer blackened or "simply grilled": catfish, tilapia, salmon, shrimp, & chicken, also some great sides. Looking forward to checking it out! 4951

Hopefully they stick around longer than farm to market did, imo restaurants here in KW are getting pretty stale. 4951

Restaurants other than fast food or Mexican seem to have a very difficult time staying in business in Kingwood. 4951

That's a tough location for a restaurant to generate business...or so it seems. 4951

I think they'd be making a *huge* mistake if they didn't sell those Fried Green Tomatoes. 4951

No fried fish? I agree with @taramay, I never get the urge to go out and eat fish. When we do its go out its because husband wants fried catfish. I don't like to cook it in the house because it stinks up everything. 4951

@BooBear: i am sure they will do fried fish...the Cleveland location does and that is 98% of their business...

@EvanCarroll: only if they inproved them.  When I had them they were all breading and no tomamto and over fried.  I love o good fried green tomato.  The best I ever has were from Goode Seafod down in the Kirby area. 4951

It has but Chelsea's Deli is not in the Farm-to-Market location. They are in their own location. 4951

@jax: wait..what? Are you trying to say that the location is the problem even though they are located in the same stip center not 150 feet apart? Lest we forget Ninfas was in that same spot for at least 15 years until ALL (but the original) Ninfas closed.

FtM closed because it was a terrible operation. The location had nothing to do with it.

My family and I never tried it when it was open as Farm To Market (as we had planned on), and now am a little skeptical with it closing and re-opening so quickly as a new "fish to table" concept....For those that went, and were reluctant or simply didn't go back, please provide your thoughts on the issues....Was it the actual food....Prices....Service & Staff....Atmosphere...Convenience of hours and days open for business....Clientele....Location....(which I honestly don't believe it was....or why would they even re-open in the same exact spot...)Comments appreciated....    4951
