I hate doctors offices, pretty much all of them. Is there not any decent doctors and staff at all anymore? What happened to them all?

That is all. 4951

They are still out there Francita but you really have to look. As weird as it sounds I find most of them are old timers or family of old timers who practice in more secluded areas. Ones that look ran down from the outside and look to be "CLINICS FOR THE POOR" often times have some of the best doctors and dentist you will ever meet.I just got a treatment plan worked up from a dentist in downtown Cleveland that by his location and building I would have never thought he be so good....And you know me and dentist...thats saying a lot...roflmao!Since I have not got any work done yet I will wait before actually recommending him but my point was that many of these "gems" are hiding away from busy , fancy "BUSINESS" like practices. And many times way more affordable because they work alone not in partnerships with major corporations..  4951

Apparently I haven't been sick enough since 2011 so it is going to be 3 weeks before I can be seen. And well this can't wait 3 weeks so she advised me that I should go else where...

Yet she said it has nothing to do with my lack of insurance at this time 4951

Of course you are allowed your opinion but when you state one as bizarre as that, there will be counter opinions and back lash....bizarre indeed. 4951

Without medical insurance I dont even have a doctor...LOL If I feel sick enough I do nexcare on northpark...its like 80 bucks if that much. I have a card with them, its like 80 to be seen and 125 if they have to do anything, its never more than 125...if your sicker than what they will do for 125 you need to be at the hospital emergency room.....LOLThey do minor womens physicals and stuff to I think. As far as I was told they will do almost anything a general physician will. 4951

@Burnsway:

You deserve this. I think about you frequently ever since you shared your dental woes. I can't even imagine (which makes me feel like a huge brat !). You can handle it, mama!

And kudos for involving your dd. I agree it's important for her to see you go through major work and come out unscathed on the other end. Maybe you could ask for extra drugs on the down-low so you'll be guaranteed a happy face for her! Emoticon

Good luck! 4951

I see my Endocrinologist every three months.  He has never made me wait more than 5-10 minutes.  We also agreed that it was much more efficient if he put in orders for blood work for my NEXT appointment.  Then, about a week before my appointment,  I go to the Kelsey Seybold in Kingwood and have blood drawn for the tests.  Then when I see the doc, he has fresh results and can tell me if I need to adjust my medicine.   This is so much better than seeing him, we have little to discuss, then he sent me to the lab, and a week latwr a nurse would call to tell me if I needed to adjust meds.However, I HATE seeing my Urologist.   Not only because of the prostate check, but he is always 1-2 hours behind schedule. 4951
