Okay, hubby and I are not obese people, but are above what our weight should be, and we are waking up feeling like we are 90 years old and can't move without the "oh, my back hurts" seriously we are 42 and shouldn't feel like this. I am not sure if it's "just" our weight that's the issue or a messed up mattress. We are looking to change mattresses and need some opinions on the kind to get. Right now we are on a Sealy Queen pillow top, I believe its a firm, not 100%. We both would like to get a King mattress, but not sure if pillow top is the way to go. We have looked at the sleep number beds, but to me they are way overpriced and practically every review that I have found says it is not the one to buy.This is the first pillow top that I have ever had so I don't know if maybe it's too soft or what, but I just need my sleep back. Waking up more tired than when I went to bed stinks and I can't function like this.  Thanks to all & Have a great day Emoticon 4951

We had the same issue with our pillow top. We did get a sleep number and haven't had any issues since then. I know they aren't cheap but we love ours. 4951

I have a sleep number king sized that I love. It's 20 years old and time to replace, so I purchased a queen size sleep number bed that will be delivered in 10-14 days.

Obviously, I like them too. 25 year warranty was important to me when making my decision. The price is a little steep but my sleep is worth it.

Hey Kristi H, with the sleep number, did you get the kIng or queen and are the mattresses separate? Like a "hump" effect down the middle? Did you notice a humming sound from the pump or a difference in your electric bill? And if you don't mind me asking, how old is yours? Goldengirl, on your tempurpedic, is yours a king or queen and do they stand by what they say also? that there isn't any sagging or jarring motion? Thanks Emoticon 4951

Hey Jax have you had any problems with your pump? The reviews that I have read are what's deterring me, so it's nice to talk to a couple of people that love theirs.    4951

@cowboysfan0314:

I've never had any issues with the sleep number machinery since I have owned the bed. Not a single one.

we have the iComfort. We love it. The only down side is that it does need to be turned every 6 months and it's a heavy em-effer. 4951

We have a Sterns and Foster pillow top king size mattress and box springs we want to sell. It was bought at Mattress Firm and has had the water proof cover on it from day one. The reason for selling it is I just had a second back surgery and the pillow top is no longer an option. It was only used for a few months. Paid $2,000. 4951

I recommend a good nightly workout routine! It strengthens the lower back.

I need a new bed also... 4951

I just got the iComfort mattress and love it. It stopped our back problems. I didnt get a sleep number because of the reviews. I probably could have saved some money if I got a sleep number instead. 4951

@Jax:  I have been looking into getting a sleep number.  I bought one a while back that was a "generic" one, and it is pretty much dead.  Which model of sleep number did you buy?I looked at all of the different models that sleep number has and have no idea how to choose one.  Do I need to go to one of the stores and try them out? 4951

We also have an Icomfort, love it.  I didn't know you have to turn it. Then the zipper for the cover would be in your back?When I worked at Finger furniture the sales people would steer most customers away from the sleep number beds. They were the ones that were returned the most. 4951
