@N+T:
I'm working on getting Taylor to crawl. The kid is lazy! She manages to do 360's in the crib but won't scoot to get a toy to save her life!
@taramay: Maybe try food to entice her, like yogurt or a drink of water from "your cup" Â I think Emma wanted to keep up with the other kids at the Library class and also to touch the dogs. Â those were her crawl motivators. Â Enjoy the not crawlings days, once she does do it, the flood gates will open. Â Then you will be calling Taylor your "little destructor of all things"
Right now Emma is fascinated with any food or drink i have, so i am going to try that to entice her to walk.Good luck on the crawling, as you have probably heard , she will crawl on her own time. Â I get tired of hearing that line but it is true.
@N+T: i'm not one to rush new skills, as i know i'll look back and want her to be a little baby again. but she wants to move around so bad, and is using me as a trampoline all day! the dogs are good motivation for her, because she loves them. but they're not good at making her come to them. everytime they go by she holds her hand out and they come right over. she has them trained! i got yogurt drops thinking that would be good to get her moving, but she hates them. even though she loves yogurt. she has started getting mad when i hand her what she wants. she won't take it if get it for her, she wants to grab it herself. she does awesome sitting in the pack-n-play playing on her own, the problem is that she can reach everything in it herself. i just got some floormats for her to play on. hopefully soon she'll decide she wants something out of reach bad enough she'll get off her lazy bum and figure it out.
