This is going to blow your mind conservatives. The bill was called H.R.2014 - Telephone Records Protection Act. It included NO PORK WHATSOEVER. It was proposed by a member of the House, Rep Amash. Anyway, it just failed in the House. The bill was one sentence,
Repeal Subparagraph (C) of section 2703(c)(2) of title 18, United States Code, is repealed.
This is what Subparagraph C says,(2) A provider of electronic communication service or remote computing service shall disclose to a governmental entity the—(A) name;(B) address;(C) local and long distance telephone connection records, or records of session times and durations;(D) length of service (including start date) and types of service utilized;(E) telephone or instrument number or other subscriber number or identity, including any temporarily assigned network address; and(F) means and source of payment for such service (including any credit card or bank account number), of a subscriber to or customer of such service when the governmental entity uses an administrative subpoena authorized by a Federal or State statute or a Federal or State grand jury or trial subpoena or any means available under paragraph (1).Here is the vote countMore Democrats voted for it than Republicans. Fewer Democrats voted against it. And, the Democrats are the minority! Brady, Castro, and Smith -- all Reps from Texas voted against the amendment. The vote was 205 to 217! True for this issue, but if the Democrats had control of the House it would have passed. Just to say that when I say both bourgeois parties are fascist ******s, there is your reasoning...AYES         NOES         PRES           NVREPUBLICAN   94       134           6DEMOCRATIC  111        83        6TOTALS         205    217         12 4951

All of those Tea Party Republicans, Boehner,  Bachmann, Cantor, Ryan -- they all voted against it -- why? Because, unlike the socialist here, they want bigger government. 4951

@EvanCarroll: You are doing a pretty good job responding to your own posts.  Keep up the good work.

Not even so much as, "yes, they did the wrong thing here." Not even an "I question the party being better than the Democrats." Nothing. People just continue on with their GOP asskissing and the counter-information just sits on the table. It's the GOP that forces the phone companies to hand over the government your phone logs. It's not Obama. 4951

I have already stated that I'm not happy with either party when it comes to reducing government.  Yes, in this matter, the Republicans have gotten as bad as the Democrats.... maybe worse in some respects. 4951
