My 2000 sqft house needs a deep clean.  What do think the going rate for the service is?Blindsbaseboards/chair railsand the basic cleaning of all the rooms.  Also wondering what kind of products do they use on laminate floors?  wouldn't want pine sol used.   4951

most of my clients prefer individual as opposed to companies.  Usually with individuals you will look at 100-200 for a one time deep clean.  But if you set up with a regular schedule you get a cheaper price.I am not currently taking clients or i would help ya.  My rates are 100 for first deep clean then if I return I would work something out.  Usually for your size home 60-80.  I also bring my OWN equipment and cleaners. I hate using other peoples stuff because I know what works the best Emoticon 4951

@taramay: To me thats highway robbery Emoticon  I couldn't ever charge someone more than 20$ an hour or so.  I feel I am cheating people out of money.

it was for a deep clean. she was here from 8-5. she cleaned EVERYTHING! pulled out furniture, cleaned inside and outside doors and windows, vacummed drapes, the list goes on and on. in the end, she only asked for $200, but we gave her $250 because that's what we felt she earned.  4951

I do all that with the exception of outside windows, thats extra.  Still I feel thats high and took her a long time. Emoticon  But we are all different in our ways of getting stuff done.  I start in one room and go around the house.  This is also why I like using my own equipment, dyson , dust brooms and mops.  I have industrial like equipment and use only the best of products on the market.  None of the no name stuff.  If it doesn't get the job done the first scrub or two then its not worth buying it.But then again people say I am too cheap in my prices.  I am not out to become a millionaire doing this. I only do it to keep my self busy.  Tis why now I have stopped taking clients on.. have to slow down.  3-4 a day is killing me!  LOL 4951

@Jpgurl:
Bet u don't have a 10 month old? I think it's normal for people to get behind sometimes in their cleaning and need a little extra help sometimes. Life happens.

@N+T: No- I was way worse when I had little ones. I was soooo paranoid about germs that I did nothing but clean-especially when I had a very sick newborn son and my dd was under 2. I am much older and from a different generation. I was raised on that edge of- perfect wife and mother who does anything and everything in the house( go look at a Good House keeping magazine from the 60's) and be a college educated, independent career woman. If it hadn't been for our ill son I would've had a career and been expected to do everything .
Needless to say a great amount of stress and I did not pass all that BS to my dd.
It was no slam intended towards you- more of a commentary on my life. Lol I wish it had occurred to me to hire out someone to deep clean my house before my dd's wedding reception last year. It took me 10 months to paint and clean my house inside and out. But sadly I don't think there's anyone who could live up to my expectations- I have as yet to find a lawn service who can do a better job than me on the yard

i get behind because taylor is so clingy right now. the only way i can really clean well is if someone is here to watch her. and having daddy here doesn't really help because i get interrupted so much. i may have my mom come over one day next week and do a good scrubbing.the only time i've had my house cleaned was before the wedding. we were having a lot of people come to town, and frankly, i was so busy with last minute wedding stuff, i just didn't have the energy.  4951

@taramay: It is the same at my house.  Emma is super clingy and when she does have some independent play time, i am constantly having to go check on her cause she gets into everything!  And when teeth are coming in OMG she is super clingy, fussy, needy and  when she naps i so need a nap too or a shower. When my DH is home he is of little help.  If I take care of the baby when he is home i can sometimes get him to clean  but when he cares for her it is hard to get anything done in the house cause she wants mommy.
