Bed Bath and Beyond, with the 20% off coupon and whatever good quality brand is currently marked down. I'm not specifically brand loyal or color loyal, but I insist on soft, good quality. I usually roam through the department and judge by feel, whether they are really thick and ultra soft. Usually the cheaper, lesser quality brands are at the front of the department and scattered amongst the middle. Usually the better quality are along the walls and further back. Sometimes, they will have a clearance section with the good quality, soft, but varied colored towels. As long as they aren't crazy bright or neon colors, I usually grab a few. You do have to be careful to make sure the lesser quality items aren't mixed in.  TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Home Goods and JC Penny are other places that will, from time to time, put the good quality, soft towels on mark down. Since I don't have a specific theme or pattern for my towels, I mix and match colors, staying within the neutral, earthy tones, which gives me a lot of room to bargain shop.  There's no reason to pay full price for certain items to get great quality that lasts, and towels are a good example. Good quality will last no matter what the price. Higher thread count sheets are another. If you are selective you can get great deals on great quality. 4951
I wouldn't pay more than $20, but they can go up to around $40 or more, especially for a designer collection. Most of the time I get them somewhere around $10-$15, then again, I never pay full retail and try to get clearance or save up my BB&B 20% coupons. 4951
I love the large , plush towels I buy at Kohls for $3.99 & $4.99 with my coupons I get between 20 & 30 % my total bill so it works out really well . Iam still using towels I bought from Kohls 6 years ago & they are still in good condition. 4951
I think i will check out Khols. I saw Sears has a good sale this weekend too.I am replacing towels i bought a about 15 years ago from a department store in Louisiana that was closing down called Maison Blanche. They keep getting stringy and will become garage/dog towels now. I also bought some King size quilts at that store closing for $10 and they are still in good shape. I don't think i will never find that deal on quilts again.I have some Towels i bought about 4 years ago at Tuesday Morning for $5-$7 that are still in excellent shape. I am hoping to find some under $10 that are good quality. I will let you guys know what i find. 4951
Fieldcrest is a good brand. Not sure where they sell them now. I have some that are still in great shape from my wedding shower in 1984! I also love Lands End towels - last forever, too. 4951
