An official at Sonoma State University ordered a student working at a freshman orientation fair to remove or hide a cross necklace on two separate occasions. The unnamed official feared that other students could be offended by the two-inch-long symbol of Christianity.LINK 4951

@FoFa:  Even though I am not religious, I have no problem with people wearing symbols of their religion.  That official was being ridiculous.  4951

That's ridiculous. It was on her own personal property. If there wasn't anything in the school's dress code about not being allowed to wear religious symbols, & I highly doubt there was, then the guy should have just kept his mouth shut.   4951
