Does anyone know where someone could rent a classic car for an hour or two? The Internet isn't much help on this one thus far. 4951

If you are wanting one with a driver, look for the Houston wedding planning books at the bookstore. 4951

No luck thus far. The wedding books have limos, current sports cars, & old rolls royce's. I'm wanting a classic. Like an old imperial, GTO, an old Lincoln coupe would be awesome, 1930's Chevy standard, a 1960's Cadillac, 1930's Buick. Just about anything 1930's- 1960's. No luck so far. 4951

I have a 1931 Model A Ford Deluxe Roadster but it's really hard to start and leaks a stream of oil. I had the engine rebuilt about 2 years ago but the dude did a terrible job and I'm going to have to get it rebuilt again. If it were fixed I'd offer to give you guys a ride. Sorry! 4951

@Heathur:

How about searching for a local car club with message board? 4951

Sucks he did a crappy job. @Sss22 that's what I was thinking! No luck so far though.@Annie Not a bad idea. I'll give that a try. 4951

I found many unusual vendors for my wedding using this website.
I even saw a vendor who had a trolley available for hire. 4951

@Heathur: Do you just want to take pictures or drive it? I have a classic but not really interested in letting someone drive it.  I think you understand. 4951

www.yellowpages.com/ houston-tx/vintage-c ar-rental#The link lists mostly dealers that buy and sell vintage cars, or shops that repair vintage cars.  But those people may be able to help.People with many different cars, including classic cars, meet Saturday nights at the 24 Hour Fitness (parking lot) on 1960 near West Lake Houston.  You can ask people there.Call local car dealers.  They might be able to help. There was a similar question on Yelp back in 2010.  Here is the answer.I'd recommend looking into the local car clubs, like RROC (http://www.rroc.org/page…) or Classic Chassis (http://www.cccc-houston.…).
My boss is a member of several of these clubs and says that many
members will drive for weddings and other special events. For these
people, collecting cars is a hobby and driving services is not their
business. You will likely have to attend some events and actually meet
the members, tell them what you're looking for and find someone willing
to help you. You can contact the orgs above to find out their schedule -
Classic Chassis is having an event this weekend, not sure if it's a
public event or members only though. There is also Cars & Coffee on
the first Saturday of every month at the Uptown Park Starbucks, an
unofficial meet for car enthusiasts of all kinds.

@cooped: I was looking to drive or be driven (getaway car for our wedding). I definitely understand though. Emoticon
