Exxon people are moving to the woodlands area,, and buying up houses... I think all of you should start reaching out to Exxon and show what Kingwood can provide!!!! 4951

I'd rather be there. More to do. More expensive too.

I work in The Woodlands and I totally agree. Way more to do here, great restaurants, but I wouldn't want to live here. Traffic sucks and I couldn't afford to live here. 4951

If I worked at Exxon I would be looking at homes north of the Woodlands. 4951

Kingwood to The Woodlands is a long commute to do twice a day, when you could get a house at around the same price as Kingwood, in Spring, with a much shorter commute... 4951

@KingwoodDotCom:

It will be exactly 13.7 miles from the new Exxon facility in spring to the intersection of us 59 & community Dr via the new grand parkway extension. 4951

I grew up in Spring.  It has gone down hill a good bit since then but not a bad place to live if you can deal with 45 traffic.  And if you work in Spring (the new Exxon) then its probably no big deal traffic wise.   4951

Our realtor told us Exxon families from up north are already buying here. The three popular areas are Kingwood, Woodlands, Montgomery. We are trying to buy in the Montgomery area and the houses are more expensive there. Less tax, so who knows it might wash out in the end. The couple that just bought our house are from Katy and according to them the crime rate was getting to high and they wanted the small town feel. 4951
