i have 24V drill and the battery won't charge anymore.  Is that normal?Can i recycle them at Lowes? 4951

the batteries for my Worx edger/weed eater kept dying. I called the manufacturere and they said don't use it or store it when temps are over 90 degrees. WTH? I live in Texas. and I keep my tools in the garage. 4951

were ever its hot,, will kill batteries,,, keep them in a dark shady corner,, they last longer,,, but if its dying,, time for a new one. 4951

I'm curious as to what you have attached to that drill and how often you use it
 
@mm4731: a black max 24v drill   use it just a few times a year for small projects.

What type of charger does it use? Some chargers do not have an internal on/off switch. Wall wart types usually don't have an on/off switch, so you must remove the battery after charging. Otherwise the charger will "burn" the battery.Dan the Handyman 4951

@DanStanton: could of burned it i guess.  It doesn't have an on off switch.  I let it charge for a few days.  oops!
