Holy Macaroni Grill has my insurance costs gone up for next year. My premiums have increased a little bit, but my deductible doubled, from $1,200/year to $2,400/year, that's per individual.Sure, I could have settled for the $1,000/year deductible/individual, but that would have cost me an additional $264/month out of my paycheck, which is $3,168/year.You don't even want to know how much the insurance would be if I decided the $300 deductible choice.  WOW! I'd be living in the streets after paying for that one every single month.Ridiculous! 4951

I am dreading October when our election period begins..right now we pay $123. A month for health, dental, eye and life with a $200 deductible. I don't see how that can NOT go up. 4951

@BooBear: That's an incredible deal. Yeah, that will go up I'm afraid.

I recommend getting on the flexible spending plan if your company has it. That way the deductible and related costs wont sting as much. 4951

High deductible plans are great of you dont really go to the doctor. If you're someone who goes a lot, something with a co-pay is better. 4951

We used to have $3000 per person deducticle with my husband's company's insurance.  Now that I have a new job with great benefits, we dropped the price per month (from $500 to $300) and decreased our per person deductible to $300.  Needless to say, he dropped his insurance and I know carry everyone on mine.  Definitely a nice change. 4951

BooBear I wish we only had to pay 123. For everything I would be excited. We pay way way more than that through the employer. 4951
