Do you leave the steaming pile of poo where it drops or do you bag it?

Walking the green belt trails with my dog and I'm just amazed at the amount of really big piles left behind, even in the middle of the path. I suppose that a certain number of these piles could be attributed to stray dogs but I have seen enough people walk away to know it can't all be blamed on stray dogs.

It's nasty! Especially when I see it around the play areas and schools, at least pick it up near where you KNOW kids will be.

The silver lining is that at least the dogs are out getting exercise LOL

@pacmax:

One of the few times I went to the dog park, my dog got the nervous poops. There was no way I could pick it up, even if I wanted to! I was so embarrassed! 4951

I am a runner and use the greenbelts all the time.  I, too, am constantly amazed at the number of slippery dog piles left directly in the center of the greenbelt.  Last winter on a cold morning there literally was a pile still steaming in the middle of the greenbelt.  About 30 yards or so ahead, a lady was walking away with her large dog of some kind and while I contemplated saying something to her, I knew I would be wasting my breath.  I can't waste my breath while running so I left it alone. 4951
