Could be so hard.  I went to plant my small trees and started digging the holes.  For some reason, there were bricks blocking my way.  I had to keep moving back which made the holes bigger.  There were also beer cans and ketchup packets. 4951

Left over trash from the construction crews where it was covered over with fill dirt.  The closer you are to the house, the more of that there will be. 4951

@manhunter: That's the sad thing-I was nowhere near the close of the house.  I knew that one tree could get huge so I didn't want it near the house.

You would really be shocked if you had seen what is behind the sheet rock in your home. we walked thru with a trash bag the night before they were sheet rocking our house. Gathered everything from drink cans, banana peels, left over lunches in bags, half eaten tacos, various left over construction debris and old paint rags. If you ever smell a strange odor in your home, it's probably something behind the walls! 4951

Just read my post again. Sounds pretty gross but sadly, it's true. 4951

During our building process, we happen to look behind the cover in the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom and it was full of beer cans.  Luckily, it was before they finished building, long before we closed, and it was definitely addressed with the builder and cleaned up.  It was at that point, that we started checking and re-checking things since more than a few of them had obviously been drinking during the process.  Everyone knows, from looking at a construction site, that they leave trash behind, however, I do not expect it to be left underneath my tub.  I also would like to think that they are not drinking while building my house, but that is obviously just not realistic.  4951
