>> When my wife and I moved to kingwood, we went to a couple lutheran churches. We decided on Holy Comforter and been members since 2010. They have welcomed us and helped us quite a bit since joining, we love it there! Its located on Woodland Hills south of KW dr.Â
@icedeemon:
How's there church services? Are they more traditional? Do you sing the traditional hymns? Do they have woman's groups?
I've heard Christ the king is more modern but I really am looking for a more traditional luthern church.
@mpjp0907:
It is a smaller church. The services are traditional. My wife sings in the choir And has taught small group studies (when she's not having a baby like this week, lol). There are a bunch of small groups and ministries. I would say where they are a little lacking, and we're workin on changing, is groups specifically for a younger crowd 20's and 30's like us. There's a few young families such as ourselves that would like to form a group. As to specifically what groups are available I could find out for you, but I'm gone 4-5 days a week so I don't know then off hand.
We love Pastor Barb. She is very down to earth and easy going. She is a history buff and loves to relate biblical stories to current events. Let me know if you need anymore info and I'll be sure to get it to you as fast as I can
