My insurance decided to chose a new dentist for me and my old dentist doesn't take my ins. anymoreEmoticon  Here is what I have to pick from: Trinity Dental, Castle, Carus, Royal, Lovett, Humble Dental Associates, or the guy who lives in his van in the Wal mart parking lot. Judging by this list, I think I may chose the guy in the van. I'm so PO'd. Seriously, someone PLEASE help me with this choice!                                                                                   4951

Ok Im gonna go out on a limb here being what happened to Dawn I have done a lot of digging and found very few in the area I would use but needing so much work myself but too broke to get it done I have decided when I get the cash I will probably use someone that @Fallon suggested about a year ago. I have dug pretty deep on this guy and found nothing bad so far. But I have not used him myself but will when I hit the lottery...LOLDr. Dale Introgligator he is located on green oak past the starbucks 4951

IM disgusted by your choices given, those are mostly 3rd party business's (not sure about lovette or carus)with a dentist on staff.....I would not touch any of them with a 10 ft pole! When ever you see a Dental Business like this, they have quota to make for the real owners who have never stepped foot into dentistry education, they are big business men that buy up the clinics and demand the dentist they hire to reach X amount of money or basically lose their job. 4951

@topcat: If its a franchise run as fast as you can..a franchise as in how many castle dentist are there in the state...........LOL Associates are most likely ran by some rich guy behind the scene also who care nothing about patient and everything about how much revenue the associates are bringing in. Right now law makers are working hard at doing away with these sort of places. If more than 2 dentist are running a place as in associates I would stay away also.Does it mean you may not get ok work done and not walk out alive....of course not but these places make way more mistakes as they are ran more like an assemble line then caring for patient...IMO and EXPERIECE!

@topcat: check with your insurance, they may allow out of network where you pick who you want and they will pay allowed amount.....examplesay your insurance covers 60% on root canalsSay castle dentist charges 200 for a root canal but the guy you pick charges 225...they may allow you to see him and pay the standard price of 120.00 but you will be out of pocket the rest. Some private dentist may even drop the difference. Rare but it happens...LOL
