What do you all have planned for the weekend?  Special traditions or things you like to do?  My son is convinced that we need to leave a carrot by the fireplace for the Easter Bunny as a treat for when he comes down the chimney.  It's much harder to pretend there is an Easter Bunny than it is to do the Santa thing.  4951

@TexINS: I'm almost thinking about giving up the Easter Bunny thing now.  What did you do about Santa? 4951

We might go to the easter egg hunt at KHS.  Other than that we have nothing really planned - other than coloring eggs of course! 4951

We picked up this fun Easter egg game from some friends of ours. At the end of dinner everyone picks out an Easter Egg. You then battle each other to see who has the strongest egg. You battle egg tip to egg tip, round (butt) to round end. One person holds their egg up, while the other brings their egg down (wrist flick) onto that egg.While doing this you say Christ is Risen, and the other person says Truly he has risen.If your egg survives find the next person who has an unbroken egg and battle them. Last one to have at least one unbroken end wins. 4951

We had a tradition when my kids were young that came from our parents that lived in the country.  The kids made what we called an Easter Nest.   They took grass and pulled it and made a circle with it like a nest.  Then they picked pretty flowers but not many or grandma would get us  lol and make the nest really pretty.  The prettier the nest the more the Easter Bunny would take notice.  We asked them to go to the back room or theEaster bunny would not stop.  we would put the goodies in the nest and drop eggs around the yard.  The mostfun for the kids were actually making the nest.  It involved them and they would leave a carrot in the nest. 4951

Sorry to break the news to your son, but according to the Easter Bunny Heritage Foundation, the Easter Bunny does NOT come down the chimney for several very good reasons.Seehttp://fireplacemall.com/blog/2013/03/why-doesnt-the-easter-bunny-use-the-chimney/
@MomOfSam: Love it! 4951
