Filibuster the nomination of John Brennan. Sign the NDAA 2013. It's all show,
Paul, who strongly opposes the Brennan nomination and the Obama administration’s use of unmanned aerial drones, becomes the first senator to make use of the procedural tactic in more than two years and the first to do so since the Senate approved a bipartisan rules reform package in January.
If he values civil liberties, why sign the NDAA 2013?
Paul began his filibuster at 11:47 a.m. Eastern time. Around the one-hour mark, he acknowledged “I can’t talk forever” and said his throat was getting dry. By the 2 p.m. hour, Paul said he would continue to speak as long as he can, but he admitted: “Ultimately, I can’t win. There’s not enough votes.”
Ah, ostentation. That explains it. 4951

I'm not cool with drones killing Americans.

NDAA 2013, what do y'all think of that? Apparently it gives the "right" for indefinite detention of Americans. Do y'all think it really does that? 4951

@Davester2k:

Are you asking because you don't know, or because you're being Socratic?

On a side note, I have no idea as to the answer to your question. 4951

But if I did want to be Socratic, I'd ask if it would bother y'all if Rand Paul signed it if that were true. 4951

@EvanCarroll Paul voted Nay (one of seven) on NDAA in 2012 (in fact he called it an Obamanation, I mean an abomonation) because if indefinite detention.He voted yay in 2013 because that language has been stricken. He was probably the only Senator that read the bill in 2012, raised a stink about it and the language was taken out.http://www.ibtimes.com/ndaa-bill-how-did-your-senator-vote-386198http://americanvisionnews.com/5036/rand-paul-explains-flip-flop-on-ndaa-activist-group-blasts/But, instead of trying to deflect and attack the messenger, stay on topic about why Obama wants to use drones to kill Americans without due process?  4951

@TexINS, I checked out the 2nd link, and it said later in the article that people are still worried that it allows for detention of US citizens. The idea was something like, American citizens have a right to be seen in an Article III court, but in practice that would never happen. 4951
