Where exactly are you going to find a nice place to live with a lower cost of living?
I am considering moving myself, but conditions would be different (implies better work opportunities) 4951

we sold our home in KIngwood & moved back to Kentucky where the taxes are lower & so is the cost of living .the HOA fees in Texas are horrible , very few places in Ky. have HOA fees & if they do have they are usually around $100 a year or less . We do not have them where we live. Go on the net & put in "best places to live" & see what you get ...good luck... 4951

@KTownTexican: You will have bills EVERYWHERE you go. Almost everything is more reasonable here vs. many other places to live..so it's most likely gonna cost more somewhere else.Grass is always greener on the other side..Renting is about as expensive as buying these days and you are throwing money away that you'll never see again, won't appreciate, or have anything to show for what you spent.

Texas seems to be one of the most desirable places to live in the country.  Lots of benefits albeit high property taxes.  Looks like people are working and business is coming in. 4951

@N&T...we have blue ribbon schools here  & good colleges for on down the road. Check out the net & you will see Ky. has some of the best schools in the US. We have our home here (paid for ) and the taxes are very low . If you would like to come up & visit & check out the area just PM me & I will give you details . Summer is the best time cause we will have our pool open . We would love to see you all again....just keep us in mind if you want to think about moving to Ky. We are only 8 miles from Cincinnati Ohio & 15 miles from Indiana . So we are very close to everything . 4951

Just make sure you don't move into a school district that uses the CSCOPE curriculum. 70% of Texas school districts now use it. Fortunately, Humble ISD does not, but Huffman, Crosby, Cleveland, and other surrounding school districts do. Do some research and check it out. Also see Senator Dan Patrick's web site. 4951
