Poor pup. I hope it was a good vet and not my "favorite" emergency vet in Humble. Maybe they need a second opinion anyway. Vets can vary a great deal in pricing on procedures. 4951
I can't access the pic from the computer I'm on....can anyone post it?  Newfies are amazing, and you almost never find one in need of rescue. I already have one, as well as a Shiba Inu, so there is no way I can take another one in. I'm sure somebody will though. 4951
Most defiantly looks to be a tumor and it may just need to be removed, I fear though how he may eat or drink if they have to remove too much? This may be more tricky then just a removal...:-( 4951
Poor Baby. Somebody needs to adopt this guy. Newfies are amazing dogs and so gentle with children (hence their nickname, The Gentle Giant). Yes, they are big and yes they shed and drool, but they are also very docile and are just happy being with their families. I hope he ends up with a family that will keep him inside most of the time and take him swimming at the dog park.....that's what makes our Newfie girl the happiest.  If we didn't already have a 2nd dog, we would probably consider it. 4951
