I've been transferred from Corpus to Houston and plan on living in Kingwood area.  I will be looking for a good church first thing.  Any suggestions?   I currently attend the Summit Church in Corpus which is a non-denomination church with a outstanding praise and worship service and a great childrens program.  Must be church that believes that the bible is 100% truth and not in some watered down feel good message. 4951

@Bill65: Did you know that Gospel literally means the 'good news'??  It should be positive b/c the message of Christ is all good news. I guess it's all about where you want to put the emphasis? And, every denomination teaches and 'emphasizes' something different as well as teach differences in their views. So, 100% truth is going to be hard to find since no one knows what that is. LOL.I think non-denominational is the way to go...and ones that focus on the New Testament good news that God loves you irrespective of your flaws, and we all got those...

Hi, Bill.I attend Dayspring Church at 1599 Northpark Drive.  We currently meet at 4pm on Sundays and have been told many times that our worship is outstanding (but I may be a little partial since I am a co-leader on the team).  We are definitely a prayer-centered and fully Bible-believing church with community outreaches in the general community as well as outreaches to the homeless, prison ministries (local and state), etc.To find out more about us, please visit our website at www.dayspringhouston.comThank you and I pray that God would lead you in His direction to be used for His purpose and His glory. 4951

We attend the Deerbrook Baptist Church in Humble. Its a smaller, older church on Main St( corner of C Ave.)  The church has really grown in the 4 years that we have been going there.  They have Sunday School classes for all ages .  Your 3 year old would like J.A.M.  (Jesus and Me) kids. Sunday School starts at 9:45Church at 11:00  and again in the evening. also on Wed evenings. They have a website and a phone # so check them out. Just remember DBC. Good Luck in your search and Welcome to Kingwood. 4951

first off, yeah, I'm a deaf guy... 78% loss so not totally deaf... the reason I don't like to go to church is because some mother fkers just don't know when to turn down the damn volume when the band plays. I usually end up walking out when the band plays then walk back in when they SFU, which seems to offend at least a few. For a deaf guy to walk out of a noise factory like that make me wonder how loud it must really be. I think what I need is a church without a MF band! 4951

You shouldn't go to church to be entertained, you should go to church to worship. 4951
