Here's the billboard designed to outrage Christians....and here is the one that is designed to outrage Mormons ....though really the pictures just made me laugh. Though I hadn't heard the one about the Mormon God being a space alien before........what does that mean?  I had heard that the Mormon equivalent of heaven includes a celestial planet for each family, but not that God was actually some version of Alf. 4951

What is the need for these billboards other than to anger most people? If you dont want to believe in God then dont! But respect those of us that do believe. I am not throwing my religious beliefs in your face, dont put your hate filled signs up in public places where i have to see them. 4951

@southern belle: I suspect you would agree that this should be a two-way street.
Personally I've never seen an Atheist sign and this sort of thing is petty and of no gain to anyone.  That being said, as a non-believer if I were to take offense every time I saw a sign referencing religion I'd never be at peace.  We've all seen the "God Doesn't Believe in Athiest" sign, banner, Facebook post, etc.  If I were the sort that were bothered easily, that could be entirely offensive to me.  Sort of like people finding out I'm a non-believer and saying "Well I'll pray for you."  Totally offensive.I'm not saying the people behind the billboards are correct.  I don't agree with them at all.  I'm just saying that non-believers don't have a corner on the lack or respect market. 4951

Maybe us Christians can put up a billboard with famous atheists like Hitler, Stalin, Lennin and a host of other commies. I think the combined murders of these athiests is well over 20 million people.

I agree that people of faith or non-faith are free to believe in whatever they want.  However, attacking a different belief is intolerance. 4951

Atheists attack!? *tries to find how this is a new thing* One can argue and try to prove their faith with an atheist for however long they please. However, the main and basic principle of being a Christian is faith. You can't prove the existence of something in which faith is required.  It saves my breath watching atheists flail around calling us bible-thumpers & overzealous haters when more times or not they are being the offensive crowd trying to convert believers of all religions to their way to thinking. Why can't we be friends? ... Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends?Sometimes I don't speak rightBut yet I know what I'm talking about  4951

@TexINS: Who is "they"?  There is no Church of Atheist.  No one represents atheists as a whole.
Hitler
@TexINS: I haven't read it since high school....so 30ish years or so...but in Mein Kampf I'm positive Hitler stated his belief in Christianity.
Hitler, Stalin, Lennin and a host of other commies

@TexINS: Or we could list the Christian annihilation of various Pagan groups starting in 315 through at least the 6th century.  Or Charlemagne who in 782 had 4500 Saxons beheaded due to their unwillingness to convert to Christianity.  Battle of Belgrad 1456 - 80,000 Turks in the name of Christ.  How about the Crusades?  Only 200 years of chronicled event after event with tens of thousands killed.  Toss in heretics, witches, religious wars and the numbers continue to climb and climb.  In the 4th and 5th centuries Jewish synagogues were burned by Christians.  In the 1200s entire Jewish communities in England were exterminated.  Same for the 1300s in Germany, Switzerland, Prag and Seville.  The Jew killings lasted throughout Europe all the way up until Hitler.
Again...I think the people who put the signs are fools.  I don't see any good coming out of it.  But let's not act like atheists are any more or less blood-thirsty than anyone else.  It's historically foolish and offensively hypocritical.   4951

@Jumnious: Strange.  I have a graduate degree in Theology from Liberty University.  I spent countless hours witnessing to people about Jesus when I was a believer.  I talked about God to everyone I came in contact with.  I was definitely a Bible thumper.I lost faith in 1994.  Flat out lost it.  No reason.  Nothing in my life changed or happened.  There was no event.  I just could not get around the idea of faith any longer.  Since that day I've told maybe 20 people that I'm a non-believer.  I haven't kept it to myself out of embarrassment or because I'm shy or any reason other than I just don't find it...religion or lack-there-of...important at all.If you are experiencing someone claiming to be atheist and they are going out of their way to holler about your beliefs...you should probably witness to them.  Something in them is still questioning where they are at or IMHO they just simply wouldn't bother with you.

@TexINS: Hitler was a catholic I really don't get why people keep saying he was an atheist.
You know who else was/is an atheist Lou Pasture, Bill Gates, Benjamin Franklin, Ernest Hemingway, Sigmin Freud, Steven Hawkins, Edward Jenner, Fredrick Neitcie Hmmm who was responsible for the crusades which killed many innocent people. 4951

@hgmag Hitler was born a Catholic but moved away from Christianity. Here is some info on how much Hitler detested Christians:
www.doxa.ws/social/H itler.html

He also murdered 2 million Christians along with the 6 million jews.

I would list all the Christians who benefited mankind but it would take way too long.
