for about 2 months we have been having problems with our land line phones, the phone company came out , checked them , put in new wiring , changed lines , you name it they did it . Then finally  the repairman ask to come into our home & check out our lines from inside ...( we have the insurance ) so he comes in & the 1st thing he says is , "where are your "white boxes" located ? " Me....what white boxes?...repairman...the small white boxes that  your TV's plug into ....I show him the 2 white boxes & he says I'll unplug the boxes & you listen to your phones & see if the static goes away .....He unplugs the white boxes to the TV & for the 1st time in 2 months there is no static on our phone lines , amazing !
The repairman said these white boxes are put on your TV's to track any time you watch "pay for view" , but they go bad after about 3 to 4 years .....we have lived here for 4 1/2 years , so that has been the problem with our phones , the little white boxes !

So if anyone else is having alot of static on their phone lines before you panic , unplug the white boxes & see if it goes away . Century Link is sending us new white boxes to replace the problem ones....at no charge  , how greaat is that ! 4951

we bundle our phones, internet & TV thru Century Link , so we get one bill for everything. If you are with Century Link you do have little white boxes or you are paying an additional $6.00 a month not to have them . So check with your "TV supplier" who ever they may be & ask ...simple. 4951

@Lola...ask them if you are paying the additional $6.00 a month  if you do not have the little white box. The little white box is what tracks your pay per view if when you watch it , if you do ...we do not , but we still have to have the white box  or pay an extra $6.00 a month .... 4951
