Told you so arseclowns. If thre Prez and his minions don't allow the northern part of the Keystone pipeline to be built, the Canadians will sell to China. And we will probably have to buy that same oil from the Chinese.

Only the southern portion from OK to TX. Which was already approved, OBama had nothingto do with the approval. He is holding up the Northern line. 4951

Because the line goes across the Canadian/US border. In these cases the secretary of state approves it. All the plans were approved, then the greens got up in arms, so the state department told transcanada to change the route. 4951

O didn't approve the Northern part for his buddy Buffett.  Warren Buffett had a massive deal with the RR's.  By not allowing the pipeline, he is guaranteed the business.  Buffett isn't a closet Dem, he is a 100% a pos who does what it takes to keep him pockets lined.  Oh wait, he may be a Dem after all.

@Fallon: don't think for a second that George Soros is not whispering in Obama's ear about this, either! Soros has a lot to lose with his investmenst in Oil companies down in South America, specifically off the coast of Brazil.

@AcftDR.

First there are only a handful of people that can pull off the use of the word "Dude": Spiccoli, Keanu Reeves, Lebowski, the penguin in "surf's up" and the "Dude where's my car?" actors. All others come across as foolish.

I appreciate your defense of the democrat's policy change regarding the XL pipeline. Oh wait, you didn't defend them. Per the liberal playbook, when logic prevails or your ideas are criticized, y'all just attack the messenger. See the CEO of Chik-Fila, Sarah Palin, W, Tea Party members, etc. Y'all can even get down and dirty. When Romney correctly shows how bad Obama's policies have been (for example Solyndra) what do some of Obama's minions do to defend him? They attack Romney's religion (I can recall some dunce on a posting something about a Mormon's underwear), yet they give a pass to Obama's racist preacher of 20 years.

It only seems I *****, because all you do is troll for anti-Obama threads and do your best to try and defend anything he does (do you get paid by the DNC? if so they should get their money back). Must be tiring to try and defend his policies and ideas everyday. It must be tough to be so bitter too. Bitter from being sold the idea that one man was going to make your life so much better, and have it not happen. To have your life changed by ideas as thin as the "Change you can believe in" bumper sticker, and not have it happen. Bitter because this was going to be the guy that was going to punish all those that work hard, take risk and make sacrifices for their successes and reward the lazy and stupid with no student loans, free homes -each with their solar panel and it did not happen - and you are bitter because you have to get up and try.

The reason libs are moving to Texas is because their left leaning ideas have ruined the states they are leaving. Company's can no longer afford to stay in those states so they are moving to business friendly states such as Texas. Luckily, there are more conservatives, than libs, leaving their ruined states (California) and coming to Texas.

What is an example of making nice with the hispanic population? The libs are so far off on this one because they think they can group this demographic together and tie the ammnesty bow around them to get elected. Republican values are very much aligned with hispanic values: traditional values, Christianity, hard work, pursuit of happiness, freedom. Don't know if you are a transplant, but the majority of hispanics in Texas are not illegals or first generation, they have been here prior to the defeat of Santa Ana, helping Texas in becoming the great state it is. The democratic pandering will not work.

It would seem to me one of the problems we have politically in our society now is rigid ideology.  Why does a person that disagrees with one point or another have to be labled as either conservative or liberal?  What happened to being a moderate?  Personally I have some views that can be considered socially conservative, while my other points of view might be thought of as liberal. To me the rigid ideas we place upon our political leaders is why we have total Washington dysfunction.  The art of compromise is lost in party rhetoric.  God forbid if a given lawmaker crosses party lines these days, immediately that person is attacked for not being a purist.  When that person runs for re-election their opponent is sure to run attack ads stating that the incumbent voted with the "enemy" this number of times blah, blah, blah. I shutter to think what would have happened to us if we had talk radio (in its current form) or the Internet doing Emoticonast times of crisis or need for social courage.  Can you imagine the nasty rhetoric over reconstruction after the Civil War, the Civil Rights Bill of 1964, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the great depression of the 30s, or the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962?   Mind you political discourse has always been around, what has changed is this discourse now moves with incredible speed with the ability of the masses to voice their displeasure in a second. Finally we as an electorate often get the results we ask for.  I recall when President Obama was elected, Rush Limbaugh (un-elected GOP heavy weight), Mitch McConnel, and other leading republican voices stating that the NUMBER ONE objective of the Republican Party was to ensure that Obama would be a one term president.   I didn't hear we are going to work with the president as much as we possibly can for the benefit of our fellow citizens.  So if you believe the president has been a failure, isn't that the outcome the opposing party sought?  And make no mistake, should Mitt Romney win the election the democrats will seek to avenge the treatment of President Obama and sadly the beat goes on.....      4951

@Rocket To answer your question. I would imagine the Democrats being very upset with the likes of Rush during the Civil War and Civil Rights act. They would be upset that he would be calling them out for supporting slavery. I hate to think which way the American Revolution or the war of 1812 or WWI or WWII would have gone with today's liberal press.

OF course the Republicans want OBama to be a one term president. His socialist ideals are a disaster.
However, we have not been nearly as bad as the leftist crybabies after W won the his first election. 4951

@TexINS: Yes we have.  "We" meaning the conservative electorate have been far worse (that is to say, more convincing, more furious) in exposing Obama's failed and failing policies.  So what? Don't apologize for us trying to make this President a single-term politician.  S/he's making a dumb argument to begin with.  Liberals proudly do the same thing with Republican leaders, but that's politics.  Everything is under rule of law--there is no obligation for cooperation.  The only red line is uses extra-constitutional means, like violence and coups, to take back power.  Absent that, nobody should ever apologize for using their legal resources as citizens to end the political career of their foes.  I wouldn't blame liberals for doing likewise when we get a Republican back in the White House. I've given the requisite $5k to Romney (primary + general) as a personal contribution and I've got a few more checks to write to some PAC's.  Is anyone else here parting with their money for the cause? 4951

 Yes, I am a transplant....... from California & Indiana..........Since I've lived in CA. for most of my life say 30 years I have earned the right to say "dude". It may sound idiotic,but as they say in CA. "whatever".No I did NOT go to Chic-fila today. I believe that the CEO needs to stick to making great chicken sandwiches & stay out of politics!!As for Sara Palin................... well, if you have not noticed during the latest media cycle....Bill Clinton is up while Sara the (hot milf) is down..... I'm just say'in!Obama's minions as you put it..........yes I agree.....total idiots!! Timothy Geithner.....really!!Mitt Romney's religion...............guys talking into hats, ok  enuf said!!No, I am NOT a paid consultant for the Democratic Party, Unions, or anything else!! I do wish I was paid like one though!I'm not bitter....I'm just getting really tired of republicant's  saying it's my way or the highway when it comes to solving this nations problems!!Speaking of bumper stickers.................I keep seeing "Secede" on big good ol' boy trucks all over Harris county..... Go ahead Texans...... do it! Maybe you can call it JesusLand or the Peoples Republic of Texas! You don't have the balls! As much as you want your own country... TX is addicted to the US Gov't for  money & handouts! Think dept. of defense for starters!!!Lib's are moving to TX for two reasons....... Jobs & really cheap housing compared to the rest of the country. I moved here strictly for economic reasons period!!!! My company does business in all 50 states. I could choose to live in any one of them! As far as I'm concerned........Tx has 2 great things going for it 1) No state income tax 2) I can wear shorts in the middle of November! BTW... that thing about no state income tax..... funny my TX property taxes are double what they were in Indiana. Just goes to show you that there is no such thing as a free lunch!!!As for Hispanics..... look around!!!! All I'm saying is that I believe Repub's, white's, & let's add Christians are not going to be the top dog in this country much longer! Repub's need to adapt to this new reality!!Have a good evening!!
