I have been helping my daughter raise money for a School Trip, but the trip is not sponsored by the school so we the parents have to raise all the cost. They are doing a Educational Trip to China for 12 days. It will be an amazing trip but I am stumped now on what to do next. We have had bake sales, sent out letter, asked friends and family and now we are stuck with what to do next. I was thinking of a raffle and where to get the item to raffle. Then I need help on where to sell the tickets. I am just stumped. Any advise welcome. The trip started at $4200 and she only has $1700 left to raise. we have done pretty well so far, its that last push that is killing me. 4951

I have, but it has been hard. I was able to get two items so far, a hand made Quilt, and a Scentsy collection gift set. 4951

We have done car washes, bake sales, and some other items. It is just me doing it, the other students family's might have the money to pay for all of it, but after I lost my job, I just don't. I want her to go, she is an all A student and deserves to go. It cost so much to do the bake sale. Not again for awhile, lol. Thank you for these great ideas. Keep them coming please. 4951

She is 16, and helps me watch the little ones when I am job hunting. The trip has to be paid off by October and the trip is next summer. 4951

Where would be a good place to set up to sell the raffle tickets? 4951

we saw kids on NorthPark with signs wanting to go to Italy ....
Â
Have you thought of an auction ? maybe the kids could go door to door asking for anything for an auction , then auction the items off ....it will just take time & advertizing around the area.
Â
Baby sitting, car washes, bake sales, dog washes & dog walking , lawn care , house cleaning, window washing ..... 4951

No she can not drive yet, I have been a little over protective and not let her take drivers education yet. Maybe after she turns 17. 4951

I think a part time job is the answer. 4951

Are you a member of a church? That would be your best bet for a raffle. I can donate some handmade hair bows & a tutu bag that I've made if you'd like. I can ask my mother if she'd like to donate an item or two as well. Standing on the intersection would be a great idea, just keep at it every weekend. Maybe ask Walmart of you can set up a table outside of the entrances asking for donations too. Maybe try a bake sale there? If this Walmart won't let you, I know I saw this happening many times at the Walmart in the woodlands off of 242 & 45. Italiano's would be great to ask for a sponsor, they are very involved in the community. Maybe ask Hectors, Los Vega, Mexican restaurants in general. Best of luck. 4951
