I lived just outside of Seattle......It is amazing up there!!!  You definitely have to go to Pike's Place Market - VERY COOL!!!  Also, There used to be an F.A.O. Schwartz toy store down town that is really neat to go to and walk around in...Take a drive to Mt. Ranier...there are places to drive to that have view points, and such.  EmoticonAlso, go Whale watching from San Juan Islands....ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!  (most of the whale watching tours leave from downtown Seattle - you can google whale watching tours in Seattle and find some).....You also need to go to the top of the Space Needle - very cool and some amazing views!!  You can also take the mono-rail from the Space Needle to another part of Seattle that is really fun and a mall that is cool.  EmoticonDon't eat at the Space Needle Restaurant though - too expensive for the quality and what you get....although it may have changed, and it is kind of neat to be able to see those views while eating out.  Emoticon  SO, there is my list of MUST DO's.......You will LOVE it up there...BUT, be prepared for it to be chilly and damp....June is known for that kind of weather...just be prepared and look at the weather before you pack.  Emoticon 4951

Diddo on all above!  You will love it up there!  Good food around Pike's Market.   Take a ferry ride, it's an experience.  The Aquarium is by the ferries along with some good crab restaurants.  Snoqualmie Falls is another great place, it is just east of Seattle.  www.snoqualmiefalls. com/         If you have time, defiantly go to Mt. Rainier! 4951

@Wooderson:  not quite then.  I was there in the late 90's....I def. plan on going back some time - it is so nice!  But, yes...it does rain A LOT....but not as much rain (# of inches) as Houston does...."Seattle doesn’t really get that much rain compared to most U.S. cities.
In fact, Seattle ranks 44th among major U.S. cities in average annual
rainfall, getting approximately 38 inches annually.  Cities that get
more rainfall than Seattle include such as Houston Texas (48 inches),"   www.todayifoundout.c omSo, you should still have tons of fun!!!   Emoticon 4951
