There is a farmer's market, open every day, but is a bit of a hike. Near 610 & Airline, I think. Maybe google Farmer's Market + Houston, and see what comes up.

Is it far? About how long does it take you to get there? Is it open every day?

it's about a 45 minute drive on Sunday , but during the week I don't know as we always go on Sundays . So give your self plenty of time , it will take about an hour to go thru the market inside & then they also have vendors set up outside too . We always spend about 2 hours at the market  & come back loaded down with goodies. Take time to eat at one of the restaurants across the street , the food is always good & fresh .

We always went to the big market in Hempstead (but haven't been in years)
It was a nice weekend drive, spend time together, have lunch, buy some fruit and veggies.

There's also a gal on here-classified section- that has fresh veggies that she grows in Kingwood.  I went by today & picked up some Tiny Tim tomatoes & green beans.  The tomatoes are the bomb!  She also has cucumbers  green peppers; she will have okra & squash soon.  She's moving in July so get it while you can!  Her Mom taught her how to grow a veggie garden when she was growing up in Austin, TX.
