No I didn't fart or make egg salad.

I did notice one of the burners on my gas stove was barely turned on. I opened the windows and left the house for 1.5 hours. It is a little better buti can still smell it.

Get out of the house and call the gas company.  They will send someone right away to check everything.  No charge.

did you know that natural gas is odorless...they actually add "smell" to it so that you know when something is wrong.  that's my interesting fact of the day

@aggiebutterfly:  Yep.  Mercaptans are added to give it that really nasty rotten egg/cabbage smell.  The gas companies were forced to do this after the school in northeast Texas blew up because of a gas leak that no one noticed back in the early 1900's.

Somebody (besides me) reads the inserts in their bill, lol.
The information sent with your bill also advises to get out of the house, use your neighbor's phone to call the gas company.

So, don't turn my gas oven on?  actually, the house does't smell of gas anymore.  i think it was just the burner got left partly on overnight.  it has aired out now.

my DH just used the stove and no explosion.
