I know there was an old thread about this, but only one is coming up.

I need a custom cake for my daughter's bday (shrek theme).  Can anyone recommend somebody?  I don't care if it's a home business or store.  btw, elite treats is out of my price range.  I refuse to pay $90 for a birthday cake to feed 15 people!

thanks Emoticon 4951

Kids dont really care how the cake tastes, all cake is good to them. They care more about the theme of the cake. I would just go to Kroger or HEB 4951

This reminded me of my daughters first birthday

I remember we spent like $400.00 for a Chukee Cheese party. It was all themed out and everything and she doesnt remeber it.

You could do the gummy worm dirt cups and put a Shrek figurine on top.  I like to do individual treats for kids parties.  Less mess and easier to serve.  Just get clear dessert cups, put chocolate pudding on the bottom, crushed oreos or chocolate cookies on top with gummy worms in side and partially hanging out of the cup.  Pop a  Shrek , Fiona or Donkey figurine, ring or toy on top and you've got a cute and easy treat. 4951

You could do the worm pudding stuff in a trifle bowl too if you want the blow out the candle experience.  I always make my kid's cake because they like to be part of the process. 4951
