Yes, and it totally sucks a##! I saw podiatrists and a chiropractor for it. Lots of stretching helped. Orthotics didn't work for me, but I have heard they work for others.
Ask @Dr. Bruce what he recommends. 4951

you feel pain in the heel. It hurts the most in the morning when you first get up or sit for a long time. 4951

I had to stop going barefoot and wear something with some cushion, so I am a flip flop person now. 4951

I have it.  Dr. Miller made me custom orthotics for my shoes and it has helped tremendously.  The only problem is that I have to wear athletic shoes primarily and I had to go up a size to accommodate the orthotic.  Don't buy the Dr. Scholl's ones that you see advertised on tv.  He said he sees tons of patients with problems just from wearing these.  Those are made identical to each other and most problem feet do not have the same level of issues on each foot. 4951

He is and he's great at what he does.  If you are having issues, go get it checked out.  I waited and my left arch started falling to the point where I was having issues with my right knee.   Especially if you're pregnant.  It will get worse as you gain weight. 4951

I had it so bad I was on crutches on one foot about 20 years ago.....surgery is offered at times but I heard it can make it worst...its a must, no if, and or butts, you must stretch that muscle daily...before bed and when you get up. You can look it up and get the different exercises for it.  SAS shoes help a ton! 4951

I've had it too. Saw Doc Miller, he gave me a cortisone shot in the heel (ouch), lol, really wasn't bad and I took Celebrex for the inflammation & pain. It took several months, but haven't had a problem since. Also started wearing more cushy flip flops. I was wearing the hard rubber ones @ the time. Go see him, he will fix you up. He took an x-ray of my foot to make sure nothing was fractured. He is super nice. 4951
