Good morning,
Me and my husband anniversary is coming up and we are new to the city. Do you Houston have a rooftop restaurants? The only thing that I found that wasn't too far away from Kingwood was the spindletop downtown. We want to have a dinner where we can view the city. Any suggestions? I saw the chez nous in humble was ranked 3 for the most romantic restaurants in Houston. 4951

There is also the revolving restaurant on top of the Sheridan (?) In the Bush Intercontinental Airport.  The view is just fair, but nice. 4951

I went to the Spindletop a couple of years ago. After the renovation. While it is beautiful the food was just meh. Sorry I don't have other suggestions. 4951

City, views, rooftops and food suitable for an anniversary are not  Houston.  However, nice downtown location with good food and a good city view, Robert Del Grande's The Grove, Tillman Fertitta'sVic and Anthony's or Pappa's Steakhouse.Great food, charming service in beautiful settings with not great views outside. Marco Wiles' DaMarco or Hugo Ortega's' Hugo's.  When in hot water I take my wife to Hugo's, especially for Sunday brunch. 4951

@Retired_Engineer: I think the Sheridan is a good place to dine.  Back in my active days, say in my dating days many maaany moons ago I had my first dinner date at the ExxonMobil Bldg Downtown (The Petroleum Club} I think it was on the 43 floor and one could see the entire city. It was at the time, then the tallest bldg and truly a rooftop type of restaurant. I don't think the youngsters in here would know about it anyways...

@mulmye: Perhaps today, but not back then. I can attest to that. Now, for the luncheon meetings I agree is krapy!

@coco1248I have never gone for luncheon so about that I can not comment.  Luncheons generally stink.  At work we would rent out a restaurant rather meeting and luncheon affairs.  The Petroleum Club was not bad food but it was always BORING! 4951

The food at Chez Nous is fabulous!  Highly recommended.  I can't think of a place to go for the view.  I like to go for the food. 4951
