If you search for men's leather cowhide bagThen sort it by lowest to highest priceHundreds come up, all around 99 cents to about 2 dollars..Look pretty nice, but...Check the seller on them.I spot checked a bunch of them, and they all have different sellers, each with no feedback.Most of the sellers have a number in the ID. 4951

As long as you make all of your purchases through sellers with the paypal guarantee(i.e. paypal will refund all of your money if the seller flakes) you should be good. I once bought a 10 cent 25ft HDMI cable off of ebay shipped from china with free shipping(and a buy it now at that) and it actually showed up. Sometimes retailers are just mass listing items so they can ship over *cough* other products without customs raising any red flags. As long as you don't mind getting a knockoff cheap item(i.e. if you are not looking for real leather) then take it as a windfall and get you a manpurse........uh I mean overnight bag........ 4951

@frebu:

But each listing has a different seller, almost like they were computer generated.

i used to have a good business on ebay but then they pushed the small mom-and-pop sellers out in favor of the big stores and chinese sellers. our USPS and government give the Chinese a HUGE discount on postal shipping rates. Costs less for someone from China to ship you an item then it does for me to ship from Houston to New York. if you are looking for a cheap cheap deal and don't care how long it takes to get here, buy the chinese product. otherwise, keep looking until you find a good seller in the USA. 4951

and FYI, your "screwy" search isn't a NEW thing at ebay......been going on for years. Their search engine Cassini is a huge mess. ebay sellers call it "can't-see-me" cause it basically hides their listings. most of the time the item you are searching for doesn't even come up. you get a lot of stuff that isn't relevant. and yes, most of those listings are computer generated. 4951

just an FYI on feedback---don't hold sellers to 99% or better. i've been selling on ebay for 8+ years and no matter how perfect and flawless the transaction, some people simply will not give you 100% feedback. and there are plenty of new buyers that don't understand and give you neutral or negative feedback for no valid reason. if you are wondering about an item, contact the seller and see what kind of response you get. most of the reliable sellers love to chat with customers. 4951
