What the heck is wrong with the service at Tularosa?

I was a huge fan in the beginning, Food was great, the service, when management was on site, was good and we've had several great lunches and dinners there.
 
I walk in tonight and right away end up with a hostess that has not clue one about customer service. I decide not to waste my time, energy, money or girlfriend's birthday on another second in the realm of "no, sorry."
 
Left before the menus fully landed on the table and high-tailed it across the street to Cilantros.
 
For a place that
(1) is never crowded
(2) already has a rep of slow, poor service
(3) is in a building that is "cursed" with failed places
(4) on a slow, cold, rainy night when people would rather stay home,
 
they should have their tails in gear and never give a repeat customer a hard, argumentative time, before they even sit down.

Multiple stories that are very similar on the other site from patrons that frequented that establishment over the past few days...guess the good only lasts so long...

All I asked was to sit in the center. The booths are weird and those tables are awkwardly out of proportion to the bench. I go there enough to have a favorite table and, since it was open, I asked to sit there. That's when the "no, sorry" started, and continued.
 
Apparently, the center room was divided between servers, and my favorite table was assigned to a server who had not yet shown up. It was two steps away from an occupied four top.
 
They can take their imaginary line, shove it and SUCK IT. We are getting excellent service and having a great time at Cilantros. 4951
