Your personal family crazy goes public after you contact police and commission an Amber Alert, which goes into other people's privacy and personal lives...a BOLO for missing kids. Okay, fair enough. It takes a village, I get it.

Now that the kids are safe and home, no answers to any questions and you ask for privacy? I think since the public was riled up, they at least deserve a few basic answers. 4951

Translation- the family over reacted to events. The mom and kids were safe, mom was satisfying urges and did not answer iPhone. 4951

@dac1842: So city, county and state resources get wasted. That makes PERFECT sense. No wonder they aren't interested in answering any questions. News said she was unstable and off her meds, but no mention of the parent WITH the kids had no right to have them. No charges were filed.

Again, over-reaction is much better than under-reaction when the safety and lives of children ore involved...no question. But to act out then hide is not cool. If you involve the public, the public wants to know the story. Basic human nature. 4951

you'll see lots more wasted resources over the holidays...family get togethers, alcohol and old resentments...a wonderful time was had by all except the poor officers who have to go break up the more active reunions... 4951

I remember when we were 8 -13 years old we would hang on the bayou trail and catch soft shells, bull frogs, even got a alligator snapper one time. I guess Amber alerts weren't around to inconvenience us. 4951

There have been 3 pleas to missing kids in 2 days in Houston viewing area...only one went amber. Not everyone gets alerts or watches TV. I assume he was just wondering what sparked you to bring it up. Im not sure either what you were refering to because this is my first to be online since 6 Am so kind of out of todays news loop....lol

@Burnsway: It was a snarky joke and he knows it. I wasn't being mean to him. Plus, with all of his digs, he more then had it coming.

@donnatella:
I don't disagree.. Use the resources, we deserve an explanation.
Based on my experience in dealing with similar issues, my translation won't be too far off base.
