Good day Kingwoodites!I am getting married next November in Kingwood. I'm wanting to plan a stay the night of our wedding somewhere nice. Does anyone know of a nice place that would make a wedding night special within the Kingwood/Humble/Porter limits?Your help is much appreciated. -Destin M. 4951

Thank you very much Fallon, We will not be flying out the next day unfortunately. We have family in Kingwood, but would obviously like to stay somewhere other than the parents house on the wedding night. Just wondering if there are any nice places/rentals that anyone might know about in the vivacity.  4951

Most of the hotels around here are built for travelers or nooners, not really romance. The Marriot at least is convenient to the airport if that is your plan. Been awhile but I think the food is OK at the restaurant and you can get an ever changing view while you wine and dine.
I think that underground trolley still runs to all the terminals, though you may want to verify.
If you want to travel a bit some of the big new hotels downtown might work. 4951

Oops, missed the no airport post. I would drive the hour plus and spend the night(s) down in Galveston at the Gálvez or the Tremonte. Both honeymoon friendly.

@ET: So, you are saying a nooner can't be romantic?

@buffaloglenn:

If your idea of romance is banging one out and bailing, then I suppose so.

BTW, Tom Bodett left the light on for you. 4951

The Marriott at the Woodlands is very nice.  It is on the waterway and has nice views and had a lovely atmosphere.  4951

There's a Sofitel and a nice Marriott in Greenspoint, BW8 @ 45. Not the greatest surrounding area but both are full service hotels with national name recognition. A good alternative if you don't want to go to The Woodlands. 4951

Maybe not as close to Kingwood as you wanted but I agree with the suggestion of Marriott Waterway in the Woodlands. You can request a Waterway view room or even a room with a balcony. I am sure if you told them it was for a honeymoon they might provide something nice such as champagne. Now that the Grand Parkway is open, you can get to The Woodlands in no time.   4951

@donnatella: For evening entertainment you can watch the drug busts and random gun battles around the mall.  Makes for a memorable honeymoon.

@CantStandTex: I could have offered wonderful suggestions if they were willing to travel into town....Hotel Zaza, the St. Regis, The Houstonian, gorgeous, but nowhere near KW. 4951
