I told my friend that my wife has my phone password and I know hers. I have never had any interest in going through her phone and I don't have a reason to believe that she has gone though mine. We know each other's passwords out of convenience. For example, if I am driving and a text comes in, I ask her to read it and sometimes reply. As for her, she is clueless when it comes to updates and downloading stuff, so she asks me to do it for her.

My friend thinks I am crazy. I have to admit it would bother me if she went through it. Not because I have anything to hide, but because some friends text me personal stuff, which I keep from her. I don't like telling her that our friend is having marital problems for example.

He also told me I should read all her emails and texts. Talk about insecurity!

Am I crazy?

I know his, I set it up for him. I use the fingerprint thing on mine. It's easier. I don't want him in mine because he may be shocked at my interest in midget porn. He wouldnt want to have that conversation. My phone is my journal, it's private. Even being married for decades, I am still entitled to that as is he. We share some passwords as far as websites..banking/bills, etc for joint accounts. We have our own personal unaccounted accounts that is our own. Bills have gone to a joint email address we both have access to. I don't go through his wallet/vehicle..he doesn't go through mine. My BIL will dump and clean out my sister's purse. It drives me insane but she is fine with it.
There isn't a right or wrong. Just a matter of boundaries and what people are comfortable with.

As far as I know we have each other's passwords, except his work email. I don't feel the need to snoop and I don't think he does either. If he has secrets, he's certainly smart enough to hide it from me. But bad things have a way of coming to the forefront. Why spend the time worrying.

Sometimes I have to go to his email for a code to access other accounts. 4951

I made the mistake one time of looking in my wife's purse.  I was looking for something I thought she had put in there.  It was a nightmare!  No wonder she "loses" things in there. As for passwords: Yes, we know each others but feel no need to check on each other.  She's not a member of KDC, but she likes to browse it, so she sees everything I write on here.  4951

This sounds like an episode of Judge Judy. More people trying to sue ex's over **** they found on their phones or social media BS and then end up going their separate ways... A lot kids in their 20's to 30's  are immature and don't trust their significant others. Well why are you in a relationship with them???  EmoticonThis is not directed at the OP. 4951

@notfromhere: Yes, My DH has all my password and I have all his.  It is just more convenient that way.  My kids also have all our passwords and we have theirs.  This is also for convenience.  We do not go through each other's stuff.  We trust each other.   If my DH didn't want me to have his passwords I would have to be suspicious he was screwing around on me.  I have to wonder about your friend, is he afraid his wife will catch him cheating?
