@TexasOmaThe flip side to that is so the plurality's will does not count.  An argument that the rules are what they are is better. And consider this, your and my vote cast in a city counts less than the vote cast in Poteau, OK counts less. Another concept is giving weight to the votes cast in a state's GDP.  That concept gives Texas either the 2nd or 3rd best punch.I prefer a plurality method by an informed public where the participation exceeds 70% of the eligible electorate but good luck getting an informed electorate to participate at such a level.
