>> The bad part about red vs. Blue is that's it's not an intellectual war but an idealogical one. One of more opinions and less facts. People should vote for the PERSON, not straight party. The views help by about 65% of the country fall under the libertarian party but pubs and dems have such a hold that a legitimate 3rd party doesnt stand a chance. It's just a sad and pathetic show of democracy and I feel sorry for the ones that actually buy into the hype.
@BooBear: I agree but you have to go with the party that seems to hold the most in common with you because of that very reason, that a third party doesn't stand a chance. And then in order for the party you choose to be able to do anything along the lines of their ideology, well, then you need others of the same party in office, hence the straight ticket choice for a lot of people.Â
@KevinJ: maybe the best thing to do is demand red and blue to answer for the lies they tell to just get a job . The way we have to do that in this country is elections. It won't happen overnight but it has to start somewhere. The dem and pubs have made the rules to benefit them for too long.
@BooBear: that isn't realistic. Who do you suggest we vote for to send this message to Dems and Repubs if you yourself admit a third party can't get in office.Â
@KevinJ: can't yet.. right now a third party is not allocated any federal funding. The only way is if they get 5% of the popular vote..more money equals a better chance. The playing field isn't fair and the ones that can change it make up the rules..by design.
@BooBear: that's what i'm saying. but you said we have to start somewhere and we have to do it with elections and I'm trying to figure out how you thought that was possible. now you are just proving what I said?!?!
