>> What cool weather, LOL. Its still hot to me.I'm anxiously awaiting some nice 50 degree weather so I can cook up a big pot of Gumbo. Also looking forward to making some Haluski (hungarian fried cabbage and egg noodles).
@ZMAN: Um - call me when you make the haluski! I'm a transplant from Pittsburgh. YUM!
@ctl74: Sure thing, Â Its so good, but for some reason I can only cook/eat it when its cold outside, probably because it requires standing in front of a giant pot of steaming frying cabbage and stirring it for about 30-40 min..I like to make mine with lots of butter of course and just slightly browned. And as if this stuff didn't already make you fat, Sometimes I even throw in a bit of fried sausage at the end, LOL.
@ZMAN: Ok - so what butter do you use? If you don't mind, may I suggest getting the Kerrygold butter from Ireland? Costco sells it, as does some of the local stores. My DH made the kids mac n' cheese with it one night and we haven't been able to go back to using "regular" butter since. It is unbelievably creamy!Â
