The idiocy and overly sensitivity of PC is not just for the young. A grown female teacher reported my son to their principal for him saying something vulgar and for bullying her a few weeks earlier. He had to leave the school until an investigation was done. He was out two days before they called him back and essentially said that no one verified her claims even though there were other teachers present at both of the reported incidents. It caused my son tremendous embarrassment to leave the school in the middle of the day and not be able to tell any of the other teachers or students why he had to leave. When he returned, he just said that he had a family emergency and had to leave for a few days. BTW, the teacher that reported my son was formerly the Team Lead for their department last year. She did such a poor job, the principal made my son the Team Lead this year. Think that had anything to do with her claims?The only good thing that came of this incident is that the female teachers honesty and integrity are now questionable from her false accusations. Anyone came CLAIM to be sexually harassed or bullied, but they need to report it as soon as it happens and there has to be some verification or proof. Instead, my son was treated as guilty until proven innocent.
@Retired_Engineer:
That makes me so angry!!What did she allege he said? Any teacher worth their salt would never be in a position to feel "bullied" by a child. Ridiculous. If children can bully you then you have no business being in the classroom.
When I was in college I worked for a program called GEAR UP. It was a federal program aimed at easing the transition from middle school to high school; the period where the largest number of dropouts occur. It is run in the worst of the worst school districts in the country. I worked in Bridgeport, Hartford, and New Haven (CT), some of the most dangerous school in the country. I never once felt bullied by a kid, even though most were bigger then me (and I am 6' tall) and in some pretty nasty gangs. I established ground on day one and took no s**t from anyone, even when a boy got in my face in the middle of class and threatened to rape me. I calmly and in a low voice said "oh yeah? Go ahead. See what happens if you try." He was speechless after that and so was the whole class. As a teacher you need to establish authority and be steadfast in it. You aren't their friend you are an adult and an authority figure. Teachers today forget that and just want to be liked.
If you are an adult and a teacher at Kingwood, and feel bullied by a teenager? Don't ever leave your house, the world is surely too scary for you.
