Isaiah 43:2-3 Isaiah 43:2-3 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…

That is one GORGEOUS photo.

I'm just wondering though, what the mother of now deceased twin boys would say about that proverb. Where was the protection for two little innocent boys who were strapped in a double stroller when a bee started buzzing around them & while the mother fought it off, the stroller with those two precious baby boys rolled into a nearby canal, were carried away by the current and drowned. 4951

@ZoeyThis photo is of the Calla Lily Valley in Yosemite.....And that particular Scripture is meant to uplift, comfort and encourage with Faith....Tragedy, death, acts of inhumanity, cruelty and brutality happen ever second of every day around the globe, my friend....  Turn on the News....It's NOT God's fault....  We have what's called Free Will....Accidents, heart felt loss and vivid grief will occur, but Faith, leaning on God's Peace and Grace, leads us in our most difficult and darkest of days, in how we will act - react, in those unfortunate circumstances....

@herron1345:

Unless you've lost a child, you have absolutely no idea what total HELL life
can be. It's so easy for anyone who has not lost a child to swallow scripture like this & has NO RIGHT to lecture someone who has.

Just as you have your right to believe, I have my right to ask why did such tragedy ever have to happen in the first place? Where's all that love, protection & guidance when it could've saved the life of one of the most perfect humans I've ever known.

I don't want to discuss this with anyone who can't possibly understand. You die inside over & over again, every day, every second. Is this what the lord wants, a dead child & an essentially dead parent?

Candidly, that scripture & many others seem so lame.

This is another thought, " You're never given more than you can handle."
Tell that one to the mother in San Diego who was found on her front yard, hacking up her 7 kids with a butcher knife. I guess she had more than she could handle.

If that scripture were really true, why can't there be some actual HELP before tragedies occur. Millions & millions of people are absolutely suffering every day with depression, major illness, countless tragedies, etc. & then read scripture like was posted & think, WTF, this is just horsesh!t.

You all can believe whatever you want but don't try to tell me something that doesn't apply to me.
This is not open discussion for me & this is all I want to say.

@Zoey: well I have lost a child and nearly lost my son this Spring. I do understand the pain and the anger and I am sorry you are in a dark place. All I can say is go to a grief therapist and work through the stages. Otherwise your grief will eat through you like cancer. Been there done that

@ZoeyWho's lecturing anyone, dude?I simply posted a Bible Scripture, and then answered your question....Just like I have never lost a child, you've never had Health concerns preventing you from having / carrying a child, such as happened to myself and my husband....    ....And the same can be said from people that suffer from debilitating diseases, such as MS, Lupus, Cancer, etc etc....It's Grace thru Faith, and if you don't understand that, or do not  have that type of Spirituality or relationship / fellowship with God, then that's on you, dude, but don't get mad or knock those of us who do....And if you don't want to discuss the Bible, Jesus Christ, or my Christian beliefs, then don't click on what you know is a Bible Scripture and then spew your anger, guilt and / or pinned up aggression....

@ZoeyDude, you are being very passive aggressive here....You came onto an obvious Thread containing a mentioned Bible Scripture, which was listed on the title, then spewed your beliefs, and then because I stated something you didn't particularly care for, you wanna toss out the ole catch phrase of being "Christian" or not....Look, dude, I'm not going to continue to indulge your need for conflict and drama.... I'm just not....I personally am one for peace and positivity, not negativity and turmoil....But, to answer your question directly, yeah I'm cool with what I wrote...  "And if you don't want to discuss the Bible, Jesus Christ, or my Christian beliefs, then don't click on what you know is a Bible Scripture and then spew your anger, guilt and / or pinned up aggression.... "I have no problem with the truth....

You're against conflict, yet you just won't give it up, becoming even more belligerent.

I can click on any bible verse no matter what I believe. TXtransplant's Mathew 10:16 was spot on and useful.

The photo you posted is simply gorgeous but the verse is absolutely nothing that I or many others can relate to.

Your experience not having children is completely alien to losing one. There is absolutely no comparison.

That last sentence that you insist on repeating & even highlighting is the very meanest & most hurtful thing anyone has ever said to me since my son's death. You must be so proud of yourself, such a good Christian.
