I need to get blinds for about 10 windows in my home. I was thinking of using 3 Day Blinds but I heard that they were expensive.  Any recommendations or suggestions on who to use?  4951

Blinds go from super cheap to crazy expensive. I bought a bunch of the cheap standard sized plastic mini blind when I bought my house because it had no blinds. Got them at lowes and they were only 7-15 bucks each. They had every size I needed and I didn't need any custom. They look fine. They also sell the custom ones that are 70-150 bucks each. So it's up to you you can spend anywhere from $150 to 2k to get blinds. 4951

I would think it kind of depends on if you are handing them yourself or need someone to do it.  I have used Americanblinds.com a number of times but I hang them myself.  Probably could order them and get a handyman cheaper than 3 day blinds.  Lowes and Home Depot also do blinds and installation. 4951

People pay to have blinds installed? Call me a cheap skate, but that is crazy. It's literally like  4-6 screws per set and takes about 5 min. I guess some people have more money than sense. 4951

@ZMAN: For me it's not about having more dollars than sense.  I want good quality blinds that will look good and last.  I'm kinda lazy but don't like to spend a lot of money!  The miser half of me usually wins the battle and I end up doing the work myself.

@monyhoney: I for sure understand that. I like making money and keeping money a lot more than I like spending it, LOL. My wife sometimes gets irritated at me that I'm the one mowing our yard. But I just cant make myself pay someone to do it. Plus its good exercise and I enjoy it.

I used Home Depot for Plantation Shutters and was very pleased with both the quality of the all wood shutters and the installers. They sell blinds too. I found their prices very competitive and they are frequently on sale.  4951
