I'm going to be fine (lol). Was looking for my dog not paying much attention and I stepped on him (I would of bit me too). Right in the ankle and I have to admit it's "just" a tad sore. I did scream like a girl (or a big weinie guy-whichever is louder) and then laughed at myself as I saw the yellow striped thing slither in the bushes.The bad thing is I'm not too real keen on snakes-took my lil after golf nap a while ago and had a real scary dream about being chased by several copperheads and don't remember the whole thing except   the copperheads chasing me. Every time I have a snake encounter I have dreams about them for a while and I'm not looking forward to that. 4951

I thought those things were like daddy long legs. They could bite but their teeth were too tiny to do any harm. Good to know! Those things are all over my yard. 4951

Omg!! Everyone says they don't bite but if they ever did you wouldn't know it. Well it looks like they were wrong. I hope your ankle heals soon. 4951

I don't want to lead ya'll wrong-no teeth marks-just alittle dark spot and just barely feels a lil sore. They do bite though-as soon as I felt I stepped on him I saw and felt him strike me (he was a quick) and slither away. 4951

Must be snake day today-just on FB and one of my friends took a pic of a coral snake with "got some company today in my deer stand". I'd have a conniption fit if I saw that any where close to me. One of the several reasons I do not deer hunt anymore. 4951

@cador:

Get it looked at anyhow. They may not be poisonous but some of the things they eat or come in contact with, including water can carry toxic stuff and bacteria that can cause unexpected infection when it enters your blood stream from their fangs.

Chances are rare but not worth ignoring.
