For those of you in Kingwood that love to visit farmers markets on the weekends, you now won't have to travel too far. Fore Seasons Market is opening this weekend, October 1st and 2nd, from 11am – 3pm, in the old Reeves Antiques building.Fore Seasons Market was created to offer local vendors and farmers a place to come together and celebrate good, honest work, work done by the hands of your neighbors! A gathering place where local farmers, ranchers, food producers, artists, artisans and musicians get together to sell and share their fresh produce, food, unique arts and crafts and talent in a family-friendly event! They also have plans to turn the upstairs into a more permanent market establishment. Vendors will be able to "set up shop" so to speak. Booths rentals are still available and are moving fast at the Grand Opening rate of only $25-$30 per booth. For more information about Fore Seasons Market or booth rentals, call Luanne at 713-213-3834 or email her at ljorewicz@entouch.net. The market is conveniently located at 21909 Hwy 59, just north of the San Jacinto River; look for the big yellow and gray building! For more info, visit their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/ForeSeasonsMarket/Stop by and check them out this weekend! @J2911: Yes. Once Reeves Furniture decided to pack it up, the owners of the building didn't want it to sit empty. I think it's a great idea personally. And they don't have to worry as much about the flooding because vendors will pack up their stuff every weekend.  4951

I hit them up on their FB page asking for at least an audition to play out there.  Hoping to hear back from them.  I think it'd be a cool venue.Regardless of my personal interest, I hope it's a huge success for them.   4951

@ZMAN: The proper parking lot will probably hold a couple dozen cars.  I would suspect they'll have their vendors park out behind the building in the grass.  Maybe some overflow from the store as well.  As far as problems go, not having a place to park the 40th or 50th car isn't a bad one to have.

@shodan66, I hope they let you play, that will draw in more people and make the whole atmosphere more festive!

@Fallon: Thanks, I hope so, too.  Their FB page says that they will be having live music and they've already answered me back saying they'd pass on my information to the gentleman doing the booking.  Fingers crossed.

I hope this will be a real Farmers market! I love fresh produce, and I hate to drive all the way to Canino's. I got super excited when I heard we had one at town center on Thursday's. I was disappointed to see like 3 food vendors, and the rest are now people selling bows and clothing. I went 2 weeks in a row and haven't been back. Emoticon 4951
