Why do men go "shopping" with their wives/girlfriends when they know they will park themselves somewhere and wait a long time?  I went "shopping" with my wife twice after we first got married.  I then told her that I loved her but she would need to find someone else to go "shopping" with.  I typically go to the store to buy something, not to browse.  4951

Now, I will admit that there are two places that I will go "shopping".  One is a gun/fishing/sporting goods store and the other is a hardware/tool store.  I can browse those places. Added:  I can also browse a Victoria's Secret when they have women modeling the lingerie. 4951

Wimps.

I don't know. My dad LOVED to shop. He would go before my mom anyday. I asked Michael to go Christmas shopping with me one year. I had a budget he blew all to hell buying everything at the first store we went to. I hate to shop. I don't mind shopping for boots but that's it. 4951

Brownie points, food involved somewhere or whipped. I don't browse, I know what I want prior to leaving for a store. Probably the best thing I've done is set my DW up with a stitchfix subscription so the stuff shows up at the door. 4951

Haha poor guys. My dad always does that. He says his dad was never around growing up and he wants to be with us as much as possible. I'm 29 now and he still does it. 4951

My husband refused to come shopping with me"Cash, check or charge?" I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase. As she fumbled for her wallet I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse. "So, do you always carry your TV remote?" I asked. "No," she replied, " but my husband refused to come shopping with me, and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally." 4951

I see this every day in my store. Corporate came by one time and told me I should tell the guys to stay off the furniture. I feel sorry for the guys, but I'm happy to check out their wives!I still haven't asked them to stay off the furniture.  4951

I HATE shopping-I spent all of my colleges and part of my post college life at a retail store so I loathe the whole experience. If I have to buy clothes I do it online or go to the store - buy it and be done. The only time I used to shop and ask Hubs to go is when the kids were little and we did the Christmas shopping- I figured we could be miserable together. It actually was fun- because it was for the kids.I feel the pain in every one of those pics. It's how I feel if a friend says "let's do lunch and shop" . 4951

Those men never figured out how to beat the system. Every mall has a Mexican restaurant, where they serve margaritas and cervezas or the mall has a bar. Find the nearest one while the woman shops and have at it.

I was lucky...my ex-wife, then girlfriends were not shoppers. My mom, on the other hand, is a professional. Good Lord was she crazy at shopping. Having to go with her sometines is how I learned to hate shopping.
