Funny to see they closed.  We walked in there last weekend and after ten minutes of sitting at the bar with no one acknowledging us, we decided the $10 glasses of wine weren't worth it and walked out. 4951

It's been for sale for a couple of years- all the Tasting Rooms have- owned by the same person who owns Max's Wine Dives. 4951

This is interesting considering it's usually recommended when people ask where to go. Just another sign of people holding on to their money in these times. 4951

I find most of the wine bars we have gone to are just a place to go and sit and drink over-priced wine. I hate to see any business fail though. IMO that whole Kings Harbor is just not a draw. They wont fix the broken pier that looks terrible. There is potential over there ( but not parking really)  4951

I love to go to Kings Harbor.  I like the atmosphere.  But, The Tasting Room is way over priced.  Sitting out on the patio at Sharkies, Zimmetties(sp) or any of the other restaurants there is always fun. 4951

@notfromhere: Really? I think there are plenty of stay at home moms and money making dads that went there. I don't think it was a money issue as they were always busy.

I never went due to the prices. Maybe they weren't getting enough business? 4951

One thing with Kingwood places is that they are usually out of the question unless you are going with someone who also lives in Kingwood as it's not an easy drive for friends and co workers that live in other parts of town, so when I meet someone out, I often have to leave the area.   4951

@Jpgurl: We love Max's Wind Dive. I wish they would change it into that.  I would go to the Tasting Room more often if they had a menu that was more like MWD.

@soxs mom: You are really making me want some fried chicken!  Their mac & cheese is amazing as well!

@radiogirl30: Two of my favorites menu items there too!  A great place for brunch.
