Hey y'all so the Wedding dress to christening gown conversation complete! I just picked it up from the cleaners this morning.

Incase you didn't follow my other thread; I took my moms wedding dress from 1974 and made a christening gown for my daughter with the fabric. It took a while but I love how it came out. There are a few minor mistakes that I know about and can see but I doubt anyone else will notice. Basically the christening gown is identical to my moms original dress, except for the sleeves.

I also made a little flower headband for her to wear using scraps from the dress and tulle from her veil.

Photos attached!

This is the back. I tried to hide the zipper under the buttons but messed it up. Oh well...

@allymansfieldAbsolutely lovely, dude...  Just lovely....I mean, from the original sentiment, to you working to create the finished Christening Gown, to your beautiful baby girl sportin' it, to your whole family:  Just really such loveliness.....May God truly hold you and yours close, at all times, my friend....

So I need to do some minor alterations to the top, which I had planned on. I send the photo to my mom and plan to wait and have her help me. Overall though the fit is pretty good!
