Are you a bus rider?Do you take the Townsen bus?Do you leave for work between 6:45-7:15am?I AM LOOKING FOR YOU!Ok. I need a carpool buddy to head downtown with me in the HOV lane in the mornings the next 6-8 weeks. I can pick you up at the Townsen park and ride.WHY YOU MAY ASK:I fractured my pelvis in 3 places over the Labor Day holiday. I am back to work and driving because I haven't been able to make it through a whole day without wanting to run away and hide. Hence, why it would be helpful if you took the bus in the afternoons home. I cannot stand the morning traffic on 59 and since I am moving sooooo slow I typically don't get out of the house until 645-715am. I have tried to get up earlier, but well, I will be honest. I just am so tired. I have no tickets, I am not a felon and my car is newish (2013) and up to date on all maintenance. Please contact me through KDC. I will answer your questions.  4951

@lolaNo charge because I mean I would have to drive anyways. This is more for my own convenience. Male or Female doesn't matter. I am female just in case people care.  4951

In the meantime, until you find someone, is the HOV lane set up for toll (in the mornings, in bound) for anyone that wants to pay to use it with a single occupancy? I know that will add up fast, but on a short-term basis it could be an option. I know I've used it in the evenings when I have to be back in the area rather quickly. It runs from $2.25 to $4.50. 4951

This is much smarter than the "body snatchers" that just swing through the lot and pick strangers up.  I had co workers that used to do this, and apparently there are all kinds of understood rules and etiquette, such as the rider should not talk first unless the driver wants to talk.  We used to poke fun at all of this quite a bit.  I am guessing people don't body snatch as much if you can pay to use the HOV.  Good luck and get well soon.   4951

@ForeCPA90: A former boss used to do this a lot to take advantage of the HOV. She made some really great friends that way.

Does it depend on the day?  A week ago on Friday I went by at like 6:45 and it was open for toll?  I rarely drive so I was just curious

Perhaps traffic was light so they opened it later. In general it's closed on all weekdays during that time, the schedule on the website is belowhttp://www.ridemetro.org/Pages/HOVandHOT-US59N.aspxI'm usually rushing to get on it at 5:59 before it goes from $1 to $4.50.   4951

@Kraz2014: Years ago, after my accident, I was unable to drive and depended on others for a couple of months. As hard as it was. I just adjusted and left earlier so I could carpool with The Hubs. It was only temporary and it helped me get back to normal by properly healing. I HATED IT!!! No one likes to be inconvenienced after an injury, but sometimes it's easier if we just go with the flow.

Make a new temporary routine so you can leave earlier, catch the HOV/toll times and breeze on in. That's better than being dependent on someone else, and afterall, it's just an earlier 30-45 min. and temporary. Plus, it's something you can start tomorrow and not how to wait on responses from someone else.

I did it with a broken neck and I know you can too. 4951

@ForeCPA90: I think the "body snatchers" concept could make a whole new thread topic, but I don't have any personal experience so won't start it.  It would be interesting to hear of others' experiences though.

@donnatella: I don't think you can use the toll without another passenger between 6-8am, can you? Maybe they changed it?
