But our Senator, John Cornyn made headlines this week as he went along with the mosquito patrol putting  out traps in SW Houston yet is still on VACATION and doing nothing to help with an actual bill that addresses Zika. Sorry but keeping Planned Parenthood from providing services to women for health services has very little to do with preventing Zika. Maybe if Senator Cornyn's daughter or his wife contracted Zika he would make it a top priority. One can only hope. 4951

If she went to an area where it is then she is stupid and she took a risk now paying the price.

Edit. She did willingly go to an area with known infection, she got what was expected and just destroyed her child. She should be charged.

@Stealth83: And yet, I bet we are going to be the ones paying for the healthcare of her and her child.

In US Nowadays, Zika is becoming a serious issue, especially in pregnant women. A few days ago I have also heard about the Zika virus disease, caused by a virus transmitted primarily through Aedes mosquitoes founds mostly in the north area. Pest like mosquitoes, rats, bedbugs, termites and many more are nowadays spreading serious ill effects in humans. The only way to get rid of such pests is to contact professional mosquito, bug, termite Rodent Exterminator like Exterminator Sacramento CA or other professionals from Florida and other locality you may live, Or you can also Visit Website of Exterminator . 4951

it's so sad that the zika virus is hurting the most innocent of victims , the unborn . There has been 2 cases in our area , one in Cincinnati & one in Kentucky , both women traveled out of the country . I would never risk the life of my unborn child to ravel any where . Just a shame only the innocent will suffer & have a short life due to this virus. 4951

Totally agree with Stealth. One guy lost his entire hive. Every time the mosquito truck comes by I see tons of dead bees in my backyard.
If the bees die we will have way more problems than Zika. With ALL the info out there why in the world would a woman of child bearing years be stupid enough to travel to a country where this virus is prevalent???? 4951

Not that it is really important, but I'm wondering if she was pregnant prior to the trip or did she become pregnant upon her return... It's really sad because, in reality, she has killed her own child because she just had to travel... Just infuriates me!!  :[ 4951

Well don't be within 200 yards of her and there won't be a problem. Mosquitos don't travel far.

@Stealth83: But the birds the mosquitos bite, travel and get bite by other mosquitoes.

@klp1972: Our dr office tells women to absolutely not travel that way if there is any chance they might be or become pregnant while on the trip and to wait at least 6-8 weeks after their trip to try to get pregnant. With all the information out there and as much as it is on the news it's hard to believe there are people out there taking that kind of risk!

I feel so bad for this baby.  Its' mother is very irresponsible.  I wonder why she felt the need to travel to an area where zika is known to be.   4951
